NOC Engineer Job Description
Important telecommunications company requests.Engineer NOC.Education and Experience is Engineering in Telecommunications, Electronics and Communications, Networks or related.Minimum 1 year of experience in the telecommunications sector in areas such as: NOC, Implementation, Engineering or Provisioning.Specific theoretical knowledge in the technologies SDH, Ethernet, MPLS-TP, MPLS-IP, Metropolitan networks, optical fibers, FTTX, Gpon, WDM, Carrier Ethernet, VPN L3, OTN.
NOC Engineer Responsibilites
- Provide network surveillance and first-line troubleshooting for the transmission network.
- Responsible for network monitoring, SLA, communication with Back Office and problem tracking.
- Constant communication with the client and field staff.
- Perform remote preventive maintenance of Transmission equipment and prepare technical reports.
- Monitor at the system level that the work carried out in the sites with the optical fiber remain in acceptable levels of optical power (splices)
- Monitor and diagnose the quality tests of the new services to verify that they meet the requirements requested by customers.
- Prepare manuals according to the activities to be performed according to the technologies, brands and models of equipment used in the fiber network.
- Configure telecommunications equipment with basic commands for field installation.
